Taqalum Journey in Springboard Supported by Youth Co: Lab an Initiative Co-led by UNDP and Citi Foundation.
Taqalum’s journey through the Springboard Elevate and Springboard Plus Programmes, under Youth Co: Lab an initiative co-led by UNDP and Citi Foundation, marked a pivotal step in its evolution as a creative platform addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With structured mentorship and learning, the team refined its model and deepened its focus on climate action, education, innovation, and youth empowerment. Founder and CEO Rida Ashraf’s participation reshaped her approach to social entrepreneurship, emphasizing empathy, sustainability, and inclusive growth. Taqalum leverages storytelling and artistic expression to make education more accessible and meaningful, inspiring youth to become solution-oriented changemakers. The programmes enabled the platform to scale its impact, enhance community engagement, and foster inclusive dialogue around global challenges. Forging Pathways of Empathy, Expression, and Empowerment
Taqalum signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Social Entrepreneurship Program (SEP-CMACED) of Superior University. This milestone collaboration unites two dynamic platforms committed to fostering youth empowerment through creative expression and social innovation.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Usman Sadiq, Program Director SEP & Sustainability, and Ms. Rida Ashraf, Founder of Taqalum. This partnership marks the beginning of a shared journey to integrate storytelling, emotional well-being, and creative communication within the framework of social entrepreneurship.
Together, SEP and Taqalum aim to provide students with transformative platforms to express their voices, challenge societal norms, and spark dialogue around sustainability, SDGs, and purpose-driven leadership. By bridging creativity with impact, the collaboration envisions nurturing a new generation of changemakers equipped with empathy, courage, and narrative power.
